El arrecife mesoamericano

As well as of the coast of Dos Ceibas, there are various spots along the coastline in the Tulum area where diving and/or snorkeling allows for full enjoyment of the magnificent caves and coral formations of magical colors set in the crystalline waters of the Mexican Caribbean.

The reef in this area is localized 100 to 300 yards of the shoreline. The reef is the living "grounds" of a diversity of species of coral, fish, rays, turtles, barracudas, lobster, crab, and eels among other living creatures.

The reef runs north-south along the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula from Cancun to the Golf of Honduras. It is the second largest coral reef formation in the planet.
