Cobá archaeological Site.
Cobá is located 45 Kilometers west of the Town of Tulum, on the road that leads out to Valladolid.
- It is a charming site due to the impressive jungle vegetation and surrounding water formations. To better enjoy the site it is best to rent a bicycle.
The beauty of Lake Cobá can be admired from the top of the great pyramid of Nohochmul. Reaching 42 meters (140 ft approx) into the sky, Nohochmul is the highest Maya edification in the Yucatan.
Cobá, with its numerous constructions and "sacbes" (white stone paths) hidden in pristine jungle vegetation, offers visitors, even to this date, a magical sense of wanting to return.
