Temazcal

Temazcal is a traditional steam bath enriched with herbs used by ancient Mexican to purify the body and the soul. The ritual is conducted by a specialized guide mixing incense with the four basic elements –fire, water, land and air, to create a state of total relaxation in preparation for introspective mood and other positive and gratifying emotions.

The ceremony begins at dawn, amidst the surrounding vegetation, with the heating of volcanic rocks to a shining red and finalizes with a refreshing dip in the magic of the sea waters under a sky of shinning stars.
