As well as for the coast of Dos Ceibas, there are several spots along the coastline in the Tulum area where diving and/or snorkeling allows the full enjoyment of the magnificent caves and coral formations set in the crystalline waters of magical colors of the Mexican Caribbean.
The reef in this area is localized 100 to 300 yards of the shoreline. The reef is the living "grounds" of a diversity of species like: corals, fishes, rays, turtles, barracudas, lobsters, crabs, and eels among other living creatures.
The reef covers north-south along the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula from Cancun to the Golf of Honduras. It is the second largest coral reef formation in the planet.
